Estates Project Manager required by a large public body to oversee a capital project based in Ballymena
Your new company The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Strategic Investment Board, to recruit an Estates Project Manager on a temporary contract basis on behalf of the Northern Regional College.Your new role You will be responsible for supporting the Estates Projects Director with the management and delivery of the Northern Regional College new campus project in Ballymena, as well as providing input to Project Encamp, the College operational mobilisation projects, to ensure successful readiness for service and Project Close Out.This will include:Assisting with the delivery of the College new build campus and associated relocation arrangements within agreed time and budget approvals.Management and control of all project governance arrangements and documentation for the successful delivery of the college project within strict time and quality constraints.Monitoring construction progress in order to ensure that plans are delivered to specification and timescales, in accordance with college operational and strategic objectives.Assisting the Estates Projects Director to manage and oversee project budget, controlling costs, monitoring expenditure against budget, and ensuring any deviations are promptly evaluated and formally approved.Assisting the Estates Projects Director to prepare monthly financial and projected expenditure reports ensuring the project is delivered within budget.What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this position, you should have the following: A degree in a property / construction / engineering / estate management or related discipline.Demonstrate appropriate training and/or qualifications in project management relevant to the delivery of estates / construction projects.A minimum of 5 years Project management experience of successfully delivering a significant construction project (GBP10m+) from inception to completion.What you'll get in return This position offers an immediate start and the opportunity to work with a large public body on a temporary contract basis for a minimum period of 12 months.
