We have a current opportunity for a Estates Manager at an FE College on a permanent basis. Salary £51,700 - £57,500.The position will be based in Walthamstow, East London. Please have a read through the below and get in touch if you're interested.To ensure the highest standards of building maintenance and development, in order to provide the best possible facilities for students and staff* To lead on the management of health and safety in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.* To manage the refurbishment of the College premises and building projects.* Deputise for the Vice Principal regarding Estates matters.1. Lead the site team, ensuring that the team resources are deployed effectively, with a focus on customer service. To also be responsible for ensuring that all related management duties are carried out in accordance with College policy (i.e. appraisals, staff development, training etc.)2. Manage the planning of works and the execution of building related projects (both large and small), to ensure that a consistently high quality of work is delivered; that efficient use is made of available resources; and that disruption to stakeholders is minimised.3. To be responsible for the efficient procurement and management of contractors, utilities providers and other service providers, in accordance with college policies and procedures and in liaison with the Finance Manager. This includes management of the Planned Preventative Maintenance Contract.4. Lead the team of Campus Officers to provide a secure, welcoming and supportive environment for students. Engage in general Duty Manager responsibilities.5. To be responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of the college site, including, but not limited to, cleaning, general health and safety, CCTV and security. To also carry out risk assessments including fire, asbestos management, legionnaire management and services testing. Last updated - May 20216. Contribute to the preparation and submission of applications for capital funding, as required (and in conjunction with the Finance Manager and members of the Senior Leadership Team).7. To operate within annual estates budgets and assist submit annual budget requests in accordance within financial protocols.8. Provide reports where required on estates/facilities performance and utilisation and health and safety. To also submit and annual Self-Assessment Report (SAR) including operational smart targets and actions.9. Take responsibility for key areas in relation to the management of the college site, including risk management, disaster management and recovery and site security.10. To lead on the hiring and letting of the College premises.11.
