Job Description
ERP PMO - £400- £500 a day - 6 months - London/ Hybrid - Outside IR35
We are seeking a project management officer to provide PMO support for a major ERP transformation project. The PMO will support the project manager and delivery manager.
The client is in the preparation phase of a project to replace its ageing ERP system, and will shortly be increasing the pace of the project to begin the implementation. This will involve managing the work of the internal project team, the external implementation partner and internal BAU resources. The PMO is instrumental in ensuring good project management discipline is maintained throughout.
PMO Job Responsibilities
Providing PMO support to the project manager and delivery manager
Maintaining the project plan in MS Projects and ensuring activities by all stakeholders are being performed on time, escalating to project manager and delivery manager where appropriate
Maintaining RAID log, ensuring risk and issue owners are following up on their actions in a prioritised manner
Recording and distributing meeting notes, and following up attendees’ actions
Recording project budget/forecast/actuals
Generating the weekly project report, managing the collation & reporting of key performance indicators to ensure that the business management data is readily available for effective performance management.
Ensuring that internal resourcing and external supplier activities are launched in line with the plan and managed as per procurement contract and flag misalignments to project manager.
PMO Skills and experience:
Experience of formal project management methodology such as Prince2.
Previous experience with managing budgets, planning, contracts management and risk management.
Customer focused and able to engage, inspire and manage multiple stakeholders with enthusiasm and energy.
Ability to be flexible, pragmatic and have an analytical style of working whilst still having good attention to detail.
Nice to have: experience of projects involving ERP implementation and/or corporate services transformation, and an understanding of the roles, responsibilities, risks and dependencies of such projects.
Nice to have: experience of the governance of projects within the UK public sector
