Equity Analyst - Long Only Technology

Superb opportunity to join a well-respected global investment manager as an Equity Analyst, covering the technology sector across EMEA.
Our client invests for the long term on behalf of institutional, wholesale and retail clients and with a highly detailed, bottom up fundamental approach to research. They have been expanding their operation within the EMEA region for some time and are now looking to add a junior Equity Analyst to the team in London to support PMs with their technology coverage.
As such we would like to hear from analysts with around 1-3 years' experience and the role would especially suit someone coming from TMT investment banking or sell side equity research who is looking to make their first move to buy-side.
The successful candidate will be working with a talented group of investors and receive a huge amount of personal development and guidance to become an investor. There is a wide scope for progression in the role and no ceiling on where you can get to.
Duties will involve:
Performing fundamental research on technology related companies, modelling financial statements into the future (at least three years+) to assess company earnings and/or cash flow
In depth industry and security analysis, managing stock watch lists and generating ideas, quantitative and qualitative screening
Evaluating financial statements in order to assess the worth of companies using techniques such as discounted cash flow analysis, ratio analysis and more
Meeting with company management and reviewing quarterly earnings
Pitching investment ideas to PMs and being involved in open discussion around current and potential portfolio holdings
We are looking for:
A genuine passion for financial markets, ideally having managed some personal investments and being well-read around investors/investing
1-3 years' experience in TMT investment banking or sell side equity research
Strong and demonstrable financial analysis experience including accounting and financial modelling skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
A collaborative approach to work, confidence and humility
Track record of excellent academics
