Equipment Compliance Officer



Location: Portsmouth



Joining the Equipment Compliance team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety and efficiency in lifting operations across the organization. Your duties may include slinging and fleeting items through the ship, and overhead gantry crane duties as needed, using information technology systems to assist in lifting preparation. This role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for growth within the lifting structure and the company overall.



Responsibilities




  • Ensuring adherence to all policies, procedures, and standard operating practices, while making recommendations for improvement.

  • Verifying that all equipment, machinery, and accessories are up to date with required testing and examinations, and are in a safe and usable state

  • Ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with site rules, regulations, including LOLER and PUWER standards, as well as company policies.

  • Completing all administrative duties associated with the role, including collaborating with the team to create risk assessments, pre-use check sheets, and standard/complex lift plans.



Skills and Experience




  • NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualifications/experience

  • CPCS/NPORS certification or equivalent

  • Familiarity with LOLER, PUWER, and BS7121 regulations

  • Familiarity with LOLER, PUWER, and BS7121 regulations

  • Hands-on experience with general lifting operations and diverse lifting equipment within maritime and facilities settings, including conducting fleeting operations utilizing different capacity chain blocks.
