About the role
The purpose of the role is:
To inform and advise the incumbent sustainability/environmental teams within the wider team providing sustainability and environmental co-ordination, support and advice to the projects and regional teams on all aspects of sustainability and the environment, meeting legal and company standards and helping deliver a culture of continual improvement.
Ensuring contractual and regulatory requirements are delivered.
To directly partner with Project Directors/Heads of Operations.
Provide professional E&S services by supporting on all aspects of sustainability and the environment
Ensure the project complies with all Regulations, Company Policies, DCO and the BMS/EMS and that it is continually improved
Involvement in the implementation of the E&S strategy for the project
Co-ordinate specific commitments and initiate project impact assessments
Utilise and report progress and findings from assessments, external and internal audits to drive sustainability action plans and inform key project decisions
Build and developing relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
Essential
Proven experience in the Civils/Utilities industry in an environmental and/or sustainability role
Proven experience of leading a team
Cost estimation and commercial awareness
