Environmental and Quality Advisor
Due to continued success and growth, Lancer Scott has an opening for a Quality and Environmental Advisor to join its established team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining quality and environmental management systems to ensure continuous improvement and minimize the organization's impact on the environment. We work across the UK so a willingness and ability to travel in the UK is a must.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for UK documented QMS / EMS systems and maintain certification of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Ensure that an organization's operations comply with quality and environmental standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular construction site audits and inspections.
- Monitor and analyse quality and environmental performance indicators and prepare reports for management.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on quality and environmental management systems and best practices.
- Identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to enhance quality, environment and sustainability.
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping of quality and environmental data.
- Oversee waste reduction / Ensuring that processes needed for the Environmental Management systems are updated and maintained.
- Ensure compliance with current legislation and best practice, ensuring that any new legislative changes are brought to the attention of the responsible person in a timely manner for appropriate action.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during inspections and certification processes.
Required Skills and qualifications:
- A recognised qualification, ideally IEMA, NEBOSH, NVQ etc.
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental standards and ISO 9001 Quality standards
- A sound working knowledge of the construction industry and best practice within it.
- Experience in Construction Health and Safety required
- Good IT and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A first-rate moral compass, determination, and robustness.
