Stride Recruitment are partnering with a Global Manufacturing company, on the search for an�Environmental Manager�based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

As�the Environmental Manager you will be directly responsible for the Environmental management of the site and maintain professional working relationships with all environmental regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

• A (1) Environmental Permit regulated by the Environment Agency

• Trade Effluent - Consent to Discharge

• Reach authorisation and re-application in relation to Chemical Management (see below)

• Climate Change Agreement

• Packaging Obligation reporting

• Implement and maintain ISO14001

• Implement and maintain ISO50001 as co-manager with the Engineering and Maintenance Manager

• Auditor support for other Management Systems held (45001 (H&S)� & 9001 (Quality))

• Ability to design & deliver Environment Training programmes to employees as needed

• Maintain a robust Emergency preparedness, spill response and reporting regime as part of ISO14001

• Co-ordinate the High Performance Team for solvent

• Troubleshoot solvent consumption and emission anomolies

• Complete 5S/pollution prevention audits monthly in line with Change Management

• ISO 14001 Systems Management� (Environmental)

• Environment Agency permit control and management

• Legal Compliance

• Environmental Auditing

• Technically complex product

• Working knowledge of ISO 45001 systems (H&S)

• Working knowledge of ISO 50001 systems (Energy)

• REACH knowledge

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 systems (Quality)

• Principles of lean tools (5S / TPM / standard run etc)

• Supervisory/Man Management
