Environmental Manager

Jackson Hogg has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Manager in the Newcastle area.

We have partnered with a specialist manufacturer seeking a candidate with experience in a similar level position, environmental qualifications, and a background in either engineering or chemical production.

Environmental Manager responsibilities:

• Be a key member of the management team and be directly responsible for the Environmental Management of the site


• Maintain professional working relationships with Environmental Regulators


• Ensure compliance with all site permits and permissions including Trade Effluent, Reach authorisation and re-application in relation to chemical management


• Implementation and maintenance of ISO14001, implementation and maintenance of ISO15001 alongside the Engineering and Maintenance Manager


• Ability to design and deliver Environment training programmes to employees as needed


• Management of process chemicals including coordination of high performance team for solvent


• Working closely with the line Process operators and Engineering on solvent capture


• Record and maintain solvent consumption improvement register with the H&S Manager


• Complete daily, monthly and yearly data recording and analysis

Environmental Manager Person Requirements:

• High enthusiasm for Environmental management


• ISO14001 Systems Management


• Environmental Auditing


• Working knowledge of ISO45001 and ISO5001


• REACH knowledge


• Professional Environmental Qualifications
