Are you a proactive and solution focused environmental professional with experience in monitoring for the construction or utilities sectors? We have a fantastic opportunity to join our expanding Turnbull team working on the Sizewell C (SZC) project. You'll work in a friendly and collaborative team within a dynamic environment, providing a vital role in the early enabling and mobilisation stages of the project.
What you'll do
In this role you will undertake a broad range of environmental permitting guidance and support to the client. This will involve:
Supporting the client in delivery of environmental monitoring requirements.
Providing technical advice and guidance on environmental compliance.
Development of environmental and operational management plans.
Contribution to obtaining the necessary environmental permits to enable the progression of the project.
Collaboration with a range of stakeholders to deliver functional solutions.
Liaising with regulators to facilitate positive outcomes for the client.
Reviewing and producing reports to meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
Task management of contractors and operatives to meet necessary outputs.
Provide environmental and regulatory advice on incidents and emergencies when required.
What you'll need
To be successful, you'll need:
Educated to a degree level in a relevant scientific or environmental qualification.
2-3 years' experience in an environmental function is desirable.
In-depth understanding of environmental permitting.
Knowledge of environmental monitoring specifically air, noise and water.
Adaptable in a dynamic and ever-changing project environment.
Ideally have attained membership of a relevant professional body.
Commercial awareness including NEC3 Engineering and Construction is desirable.
Ability to manage key stakeholder relationships at various levels of seniority.
