We have a fantastic opportunity for anEnvironmental Advisorto join our team in located from our offices in Porthmadog, Gwynedd. We are looking for a colleague who is already within this position; or looking to take the next step in your career within the infrastructure sector. We are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Chester, Wrexham,Conwy, Llandudno,Colwyn Bay, Abergwyngregyn, Bangor, Bethesda, Caernarfon, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Crewe, Nantwich, Oswestry Portmeirion, Criccieth, Barmouth, Machynlleth, Llanbrynmair, Llanuwchllyn, Bala, Llanrwst, Ruthin, Denbigh, Bodelwyddan, Abergeleand the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Head of Future , theEnvironmental Advisorwill join our team in North Wales covering Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd, and Anglesey regions and will be working alongside our Environment Advisors covering South Wales, Midlands, and Southwest England. The role will cover infrastructure, rail, and utilities projects across North Wales, and offers the opportunity to work across a dynamic and diverse range of projects with significant environmental considerations.
On a day-to-day basis, the responsibilities of theEnvironmental Advisorwill include the following (not exhaustive):
Providing advice for obtaining legal compliance consents, permits, licences and waste exemptions.
Supporting project teams with the development of Materials Management Plans (MMPs) and Site Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) to ensure all key opportunities and risks are identified, mitigated, and subsequently managed.
Monitoring performance against the environmental and sustainability strategy and objectives, system, standards, processes, and procedures and reporting back to the Future
Manager
Liaising with enforcing authorities and professional groups within the region
Delivering and supporting the Future
Manager in business-wide strategies and initiatives designed to improve wellbeing of future , sustainability, and environmental performance.
Investigating all environmental non-conformances and audit findings, making recommendations, and supporting the delivery of suitable and adequate corrective and preventative actions required.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience working on either large civil engineering, building infrastructure projects, or construction industry.
Degree Qualified (Engineering / Environmental / Science)
Good knowledge and experience of statutory environmental legislation and regulations, as well as industry best practices.
Good knowledge and experience of environmental and sustainability management systems, such as ISO 14001, ISO50001, ISO20400, BS8001
Experience in Microsoft office (word, excel PowerPoint)
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
Full UK driving licence
