The Role:
They are seeking a motivated and dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to ensure our Gloucestershire facility meets all internal and legal compliance standards. This role is crucial for enhancing our safety branding and promoting a positive safety culture within the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the Plant Health Safety & Environment Review Board.
Support and participate in Area HSE Meetings, addressing any arising issues.
Conduct thorough Accident Investigations within 5 days.
Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of ISO14001 and ISO45001.
Define and deliver HSE/Environmental training as required.
Provide coordination for UK Environmental issues.
Assess the impact of HSE legislation on the business.
Collaborate with Occupational Health to define safe processes for new products and manage return-to-work protocols.
Manage the interface with global teams and external stakeholders on HSE initiatives.
Lead safety for site-specific projects, providing advice and guidance.
Promote continuous improvement and best practices across the plant.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in a HSE role within the manufacturing industry, ideally automotive.
Comprehensive understanding of HSE aspects, including legislation, audit handling, and management systems.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining effective relationships.
NEBOSH or IOSH
qualification required.
Auditor/Lead Auditor qualifications for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in HS&E within a unionised factory setting.
Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
