As Site Champion for HS&E you will be responsible for the implementation, training and compliance of HS&E throughout the 24/7 site.
Our ideal candidate will have several years background in food manufacturing with Food Safety Level 2, NEBOSH and an environmental qualification under their belts.
An understanding of IFS and BRC Foods Standards is expected plus a knowledge of SAP/ERP would be an advantage.
Key responsibilities include:
Set, communicate and monitor the site HSE strategy and annual HSE plans
Carry out and review risk assessments - lead corrective action plans
Coordinate and conduct HSE audits and inspections – lead improvement plans
Lead and implement HSE initiatives and improvement programmes
Keeping comprehensive statistics and trend analysis across HSE
Report and investigate accidents and incidents. Assist with the implementation of preventative and corrective actions
Actively communicate and promote HSE awareness across the site in an interactive way
Lead, coordinate and provide HSE training as appropriate
Act as the site representative for waste reduction and all HS&E programmes
Maintain environmental compliance and relevant ISO certifications
HSE input and support for all projects
Share best practice with HSE representatives in other Ecotone factories and the Group HSE Manager
Liaise with the Health & Safety Executive and other bodies as and when appropriate
