Job DescriptionSHE Manager – Up to £60,000 – OldhamThe successful candidate will need to have a hands-on, can-do attitude, driving SHE improvements and engagement with the Plant team whilst being equally comfortable representing the site to Senior stakeholders and external authorities.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESHealth & Safety lead for the Oldham sitePrime interface for HSE/EA and other Regulatory AuthoritiesEnsure compliance with Environmental operating permits granted by the Environment Agency and other site permitsLead in Process Safety assessment and analysis. HAZOP and LOPA knowledge preferableOverseeing annual Occupational Health monitoring programmeDevelopment and maintenance of the Occupational Health /SHE Policies relating to use and prescription of safety equipment, permit to work, contractor management but not limited toWaste management oversightIncident management system stewardship and root cause analysisLeadership of Behavioural Based Safety processes and other schemes and audits according to business requirements and standardsCOSHH administrator for sitePreparation of monthly management reviews and annual internal/external SHE reportsIntegrated SHE Management System ownership and maintenance, ensuring procedural compliance to ISO systemsIdentification of new or revised applicable SHE legislation and ensuring compliance against existing legislationOversight of haulier compliance with ADR regulationsTraining management including auditing against competencyOwnership of safety elements of product introduction processesFacilitation of Employee Health / Safety / Environmental CommitteeEXPERIENCEDegree or Diploma in safety related discipline preferable5 years’+ experience in safety management field, ideally in a continuous production environmentTPM or LEAN manufacturing experience preferable
