Atlas Language School is recruiting qualified and well-motivated English teachers for our junior summer programme in Chichester, UK from Friday 28 June 2024 (Induction day) up to and including Sunday 28 July 2024.

THE POSITION
The junior centre in Chichester, UK delivers a range of courses to 10 to 17 year-olds. All students live on campus.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering quality communicative lessons in a way that challenges and engages the students. Classes run in the mornings and afternoons. Teachers generally teach for up to 30 hours (3 hours each morning and each afternoon, between Monday and Friday, or Tuesday and Saturday).
As a teacher at the junior centre, you will have access to our in-house Sustainability and Development syllabus materials and a wide range of published ELT materials. We also welcome the use of teachers’ own materials and ideas to make the lessons as stimulating as possible.
You will be expected to attend student certificate ceremonies, which occur once every two weeks, as well as teacher meetings. You will be expected to plan lessons (including projects) effectively, complete records of work, registers and student reports, and mark student assessment.
For residential teachers, full board (accommodation + three meals per day) is included, with dietary requirements taken into consideration. Applications from non-residential teachers are also encouraged.
Teachers have one full day off per week.
DURATION
Teacher contracts in Chichester run from Friday 28 June to Sunday 28 July 2024 (dates inclusive).
PAY
£2300 for the duration of the contract.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of an ordinary Bachelors Degree or equivalent (Level 6 qualification).
A British Council recognised 120-hour teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) certification (with a minimum of 6 hours observed face-to-face teaching practice included) for example, a CELTA or Trinity certTESOL

Interviews for teachers at the junior centre generally take place via Zoom with a member of our team.
Successful applicants will be subject to relevant pre-employment checks (references and police checks).
All successful teachers will need to attend an induction session in Chichester on Friday 28 June at 10.00, and complete an online safeguarding course prior to the contract starting. Accommodation will be provided from Thursday 27 June to Monday July 29 (the last working day being Sunday 28 July) as required.
