Engineering Team Lead (Control Systems)

Our client is seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineering Team Lead to join their team in the Tyneside area. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for leading a team of 6-8 engineers in the delivery of control system upgrades for electrical power transmission and distribution infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Manage, lead, and coach the Transmission delivery team to ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality standards and on timeEnsure compliance with customer technical specifications on all projectsWork with the team to develop and implement cost-saving initiativesDevelop, implement, and quality control the control systems delivery processesLiaise with internal and external engineers to provide complete solutionsManage resource and project allocation for the teamProvide technical input for pre-sales activities and design reviewsQualifications:Minimum HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical EngineeringExtensive experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution industryProven track record of leading a multi-skilled engineering teamStrong technical expertise in control and automation systems.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsGrowth mindset with a commitment to continuous improvementThis is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to work remotely 2-3 days per week.
