Engineering Supervisor

Recruit4Staff are pleased to be representing their client, a leading engineering company in their search for a Engineering Supervisor to work in their leading facility in Brownhills.
For the successful Engineering Supervisor our client is offering:

• Competitive salary paying up to £43,000 depending on experience
• Days based position Monday to Friday, 7:54am - 4:30pm, with a 1:30pm finish on Fridays, 38 hours per week.
• Permanent role
• 26 days holiday + 8 statutory days
• Statutory pension scheme

The Role - Engineering Supervisor:

• Planning, assigning and directing production work for heavy engineering and fabrication facility
• Oversee small team of at least 5 welders and 1 team leader
• Control and allocate resources
• Advice and control of tooling/jigs and fixtures
• Set up/maintain production targets
• Assist in date and time recording of hours
• Support and assist with training of members of staff
• Appraising staff performance
• Issue work/jobs packages

What our client is looking for in a Engineering Supervisor:

• Proven Team Leader/Supervisory experience within a fabrication and welding environment - ESSENTIAL
• Good knowledge of pressure vessel manufacturing processes - ESSENTIAL
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings - ESSENTIAL
• Experience MIG/TIG & ARC welding - ESSENTIAL
• Knowledge of PD5500 - DESIRABLE
• Knowledge of ASME/BSEN standards - DESIRABLE
• Knowledge of NDT standards - DESIRABLE
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent planning and organisation skills
