Overview
A large manufacturer in the Manchester area are growing and are looking to add an Engineering Shift Manager to their engineering team on site. This role will give you the opportunity to manage and oversee a team of engineers whilst maintaining an extended period of time off between shifts still.
As an engineering shift manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management of a team of engineers as well as maintaining some hands-on responsibilities as you lead from the front. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineering shift manager to transition over in to a growing company and site or for someone to step up from a supervisory / team leader position.
Responsibilities for the Engineering Shift Manager
Scheduling of proactive maintenance for the engineering team.
Reactive breakdown management and response.
Managing development and progression plans of engineers on site.
Managing the daily engineering meeting to discuss performance and ongoing work.
Working across electrical and mechanical faults and maintenance when necessary.
Working on Engineering projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations)
