The Role:



We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Engineering Shift Manager to lead our engineering team through effective coordination and management of daily operations. Working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, with significant recent investment into robotic technology - the Engineering Shift manager will help drive this project forward.



The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the execution of engineering tasks, ensuring the team's productivity, and contributing to the overall success of our engineering department.



What will you be doing?




  • Supervise and lead a team of engineers and technicians during assigned shifts.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and individual growth.

  • Coordinate and prioritise engineering tasks to meet production goals.

  • Monitor and control the workflow, ensuring timely and efficient completion of projects.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering issues that may arise during the shift.

  • Ensure that engineering processes and outputs meet quality standards and specifications.

  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to enhance overall performance.

  • Enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

  • Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections to create a secure working environment.

  • Maintain clear and open communication channels within the engineering team and with other departments.

  • Report on shift activities, challenges, and achievements to higher management.
