Engineering Project Manager

Do you have a background in project management? Ideally with an accredited project management qualification?

Are you an engineer or have you worked in engineering companies for a significant amount of time?

Do you understand electro-mechanical engineering, and are comfortable reading GA drawings, schematics and BOMs?

Our client, an electronics manufacturer in West Yorkshire, seek to appoint a Project Engineering Manager to their engineering team. A good organiser with a keen eye for detail you will run one to two major projects and a number of smaller projects, appropriately liasing with internal departments, ranging from minor modifications taking a few months to brand new designs taking years.  * Create project cost estimates for initial project feasibility
 * Manage full project life cycle of multiple concurrent projects
 * Co-ordinate engineering resource to deliver successful projects on-time and on-budget
 * Prompt and efficient administration of project tasks. Deliver clear visual workflow of tasks to be completed and communicate progress with team
 * Chair project meetings, gate reviews and design reviews
 * Internal project champion. Facilitate better communication between departments and liaise with individual departments to ensure adherance to project timescales

 * A minimum of 5 years' recent experience in a projects role
 * An understanding of engineering - you don't need to be involved in the day-to-day engineering but you do need prior electro-mechanical engineering experience
 * Ability to organise and plan. Well organsied with a keen eye for detail
 * Familiarity with Microsoft Project (or another project management tool) beneficial
 * Able to read GA Drawings, Schematics and BOMs
