JOB- Engineering Manager
LOCATION- Coventry
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £45,000 – £55,000
My client design and manufactures a range of bespoke commercial rooms for a variety of clients. They are looking to take on a Engineering Manager, on a permanent basis, in Coventry.
The Engineering Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
3 or more years of experience managing an Engineering team
Hands-on background working in a Mechanical Design role / on a shop floor environment
Proven ability to delegate tasks and effectively manage responsibilities
Design experience in Retail / Commercial / Building Services or similar environments
Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, castings, machining etc.
Experience with 3D CAD Packages, Inventor is desired
Ability to drive Engineering development
The ability to understand system requirements
Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
The Engineering Manager role will involve:
Managing the Engineering team of a mid-size, family-owned company
Being involved with Engineering/Design as well as overseeing BOM creation, New Product Development and Process Development
Effectively delegating tasks, motivating the team, organising processes and overseeing all manufacturing
Helping to develop existing products on a technical level
Liaising with customers as required keeping them up to date with project progress
Producing technical drawings as needed
Offering technical support
Sourcing and selecting components that are required
Working in a small, multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
