We have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join one of Europe’s largest speciality food producers.
We are looking for a strategic leader who can quickly put their methods into place and lead a site Maintenance department, whilst encouraging and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement throughout their span control.
This role will have a dual site responsibility. Being based on our client's Burntwood site, it will also lead the Engineering team for their operational site in Colchester where occasional business travel will be required.
The Engineering Manager will lead technical engineering performance reviews and continuous improvement activities.
This role reports to the General Manager and is a key active member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT).
Main Accountabilities:
The candidate:
3-5 years of relevant management experience within a food process, bottling, liquid filling and/or consumer goods manufacturing /packaging environment.
Professionally Qualified Engineer.
Strong mechanical ability and a working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and PLC systems are required. Demonstrated ability to apply and conduct root cause analysis techniques and resolve problems essential.
Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Internet, e-mail and database systems is desirable.
Working knowledge of computerised preventative maintenance programs experience is highly desirable.
Must have a strong floor presence and interact effectively with people at all levels.
