Barrow in Furness Based (Hybrid 2-3 days in the office per week)

�85.77 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35

6 Month Contract initially.

This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In Barrow in Furness. Hybrid working 2-3 days in the office per week.

Key aspects of the Engineering Manager - Product Assurance role include,

• Lead the development of the Engineering Management Plan and the Engineering Assurance Management Plan in response to the formation of the Joint Design Authority (JDA) and keep up to date using a defined review cycle
• Lead the development and implementation of the Joint Design Authority Technical Governance Policy, ensuring the delivery and secure storage of the technical governance outputs
• Provide assurance that the developing Technical Risk Management arrangements within the Dreadnought Alliance will reflect the current and future levels of technical risk within the programme
• Management & integration of multi-disciplined engineering teams; leadership of engineering resources, delivery of packages of work/services, involving new products and/or complex upgrades, utilising new and existing technologies, requiring multiple interfaces with customers/suppliers or partners
• Delivery of projects to meet customer and contractual obligations for cost, quality, timeliness and specification, resolution of engineering conflicts between disciplines, systems and capabilities
• Integration and solution development to meet a coherent and prioritised set of demands, tailor and apply engineering processes, tools and approaches to develop innovative and creative solutions to contracts and specifications

Experience required:-

• Engineering Management experience - preferably within an Assurance job role
• Engineering qualification or equivalent science degree
• Typically requires Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent experience) or working towards
