You will participate in design reviews, recommend improvements, and create consensus through self-confidence, clear communication, and the technical skills to back your decisions. This will also include: Technical Proficiency: Proficient in backend- and/or frontend programming languages coupled with experience with relevant libraries and frameworks.Scalability and Performance Optimization: Experience with e-commerce platforms and developing and optimizing large-scale systems to handle high volumes of user interactions. System Architecture: Experience in designing and architecting scalable, modular, and maintainable systems. Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and driving the team toward project goals. Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesImproving processes to make Engineers as effective as possiblePlanning and executing strategies that benefit the team and platformChampioning and maintaining quality standards and processesIdentifying technical solutions that adhere to / go beyond best practiceConduct code reviews, and make technical contributions to product architectureGet involved in solving bugs and delivering small featuresCoordinating across departments to accomplish collaborative goalsFoster technical decision-making on the team, and make final decisions Discern engineering metrics and seek to improve themManaging and supporting Engineering team membersMentoring team members and supporting their continued growthMaintaining team morale and ensuring their successSkillsA minimum of 3+ years experience in a technical leadership role developing large-scale business-critical SaaS applications or e-commerce applicationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExperience with a variety of backend and frontend technologies and particularly exposure to PHPStrong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsThe Interview ProcessA video interview with the Talent Acquisition Partner. This should last no longer than 40 minutes.A 60 minute technical interview with the Director of Engineering A final meeting with the CTO and Director of Engineering
