This role goes beyondtraditional finance; it positions you at the strategic heart of ouroperations, transforming data into actionable insights thatrevolutionize the sports data landscape.Support the Delivery & Operations FP&A team with a strongfocus on the Engineering department, collaborating with businessleaders and teams to develop, implement, and monitor financial plansand budgets.Act as an impactful business partner: combineyour finance and analytics skills with a deep understanding ofbusiness operations and needs to support, guide, and advise managementin strategic and operational planning and decision making.Foster strong relationships and partner with the broader FP&Aorganization, BI and data office team, accounting, and leaders acrossthe business to ensure high data quality standards for businessinsights and management information. Collaborate together to drive theimplementation of meaningful business intelligence tools and dashboardreports.Work with business unit analysts and FP&A to pulltogether individual analysis and insights and provide a global,comprehensive overview for senior leadership decisions on strategicpriorities.Define and monitor the trends of KPIs andidentify the cause of any unexpected variances, both relating tofinancial metrics as well as process & performance efficiency.Implement operational procedures to monitor and controlengineering-driven costs within projects, investments, and day-to-dayexpenses, ensuring optimal financial management. Effectively manage ITOpex and Capex budgets, and drive accurate capitalization ofdevelopment hours.Monitor engineering-driven initiatives,including product development projects and their capitalization.Conduct detailed financial analysis of AWS (Amazon WebServices) costs and work with engineering teams on optimizing AWSspend.Lead the development of robust financial governanceframeworks tailored specifically for agile product developmentinitiatives.Conduct financial analysis on technologyinvestments to ensure they align with the organization's strategicobjectives and contribute to improved operational efficiency, whilealso driving a deeper understanding of how digital investments impactthe business and lead to better outcomes.Continuouslychallenging the business's investment decisions and expenditurepatterns, demonstrating a deep understanding of vendors utilized byboth engineering and IT departments.
