PE Backed Global EPC business Engineering Director, UK
Base Salary: c£120,000 p.a. + Car + Bonus + Benefits
My client is a PE backed global specialist engineering business delivering EPC projects worldwide across a variety of key sectors including Data Centers, Renewables and Transmission and Distribution Utilities. The business has experienced exponential growth over the last few years and continues on an upward trajectory with strong tailwinds, revenue growth (80% increase on previous year) and EBITDA performance.
With a firm focus on maintaining growth the business has been expanding its regional executive leadership teams and wish to appoint an Engineering Director to provide oversight and leadership to the UK Engineering team to ensure it achieves its corporate objectives, including the strategy optimization for operational, financial, safety and portfolio performance, safeguarding customer satisfaction and securing new/repeat contracts.
You will provide oversight and leadership to a highly skilled team including Project Directors, Project Managers and Site Managers, ensuring open dialogue/communication between stakeholders to ensure efficient feedback into the designs on projects; and Lead Engineers ensuring engineering deliverables on all projects.
Reporting into the UK Managing Director, you will provide regular reporting on all projects/deliverables/timelines and manage performance KPIs/Metrics including financials, risks, performance, productivity and utilization.
In addition, an important part of the role is assisting in business development and seeking out opportunities to promote the business on the world stage. So previous experience of supporting client engagement activities is desirable.
The role would suit an experienced engineer with CEng status and an electrical engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and at least 2 years experience with an EPC. Also, experience in the following would be desirable; Design, construction, power transmission, distribution, generation, HVDC interconnection experience desirable.
