Working on-site at their Loughborough HQ you will provide subject matter expertise in the field of mechanical engineering and design in addition to coordinating the work of the team.  Aqualiner are in an exciting phase of their product development and offer equity in the business to all employees.

The Company

Aqualiner is developing a next generation of equipment capable of producing liners in water companies live infrastructure. They are enjoying an incredibly exciting phase in the development of their products and are now seeking an experienced Engineering Design Manager.

Aqualiner’s mission is to create a global solution for renewing aged drinking water pipes, this is patented technology and has unique regulatory approval for drinking water in the UK. 

The business has been trading for fifteen years with a high-profile presence in the water industry and hugely pertinent offering to the challenges of climate change and provision of safe and clean water supply.

 

The Role

Working in the Loughborough HQ, you will personally lead and be operationally “hands on” undertaking the R&D work required to further develop the Aqualiner system. You will also be responsible for ensuring the workshop is operating in a clean and safe manner and the engineering team have your appropriate support to deliver their required tasks.

You will be supporting the physical R&D infrastructure for complex problem investigation and product development.

Further requirements include personal creation and management of the CAD data and relevant updates to the design data, supporting the ongoing review of materials including testing and analysis for the composite material aspects of the Aqualiner product.
The Person

You will ideally possess a degree level qualification or similar within an engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering. 

You will be conversant with working in a technically challenging and innovative product R&D environment and delivering practical solutions to the engineering challenges.

You will be well versed with using CAD systems for producing mechanical drawings working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment and being able to develop and build solutions in a collaborative and highly ‘hands on’ manner.
