Engineering Buyer

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of bespoke solutions. They are seeking an experienced Engineering Buyer to join their Supply Chain team.The RoleWorking alongside the Supply Chain team, this is a role for an experienced Engineering Buyer looking for their next step. This individual is responsible for meticulously reviewing the Bill of Materials (BOM), placing orders for stock and products necessary for jobs, and maintaining robust communication with the production and engineering departments.Key Responsibilities:Supplier on-time performanceCommercial negotiation of purchases and frame-work contractsSupplier quality developmentResearch & finding new suppliersPrepare monthly KPI'sSupplier visits / assessmentsGlobal buyer coordination & supportRaising Purchase Orders and expeditingThe CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing procurement in a manufacturing company.Proficient in the use in an ERP or MRP system.Recognised Engineering and/or Business Administration qualification, CIPS preferred.The ideal candidate will be highly structured and capable of managing autonomously.The PackageOffering up to £34k pus a competitive benefits package
