We are seeking self-motivated, highly capable, proven, Engineering Administrator to join our growing team.The roleThe successful candidate will be a hands-on, level -headed person with a ‘can do’, results driven attitude. You will be confident, with excellent telephone manners, positive and enthusiastic and always willing to get the ‘job done’. You will have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You must be able to work independently and also be a team player, work to deadlines and get the required outcomes delivered.As an Engineering Administrator, you will be responsible for handling and managing the day to day operational administration to support our busy Engineers’. You will ensure all documentation for our Repairs & Engineering departments is fully completed and tracked in the required timescales. You will work with and assist our Warehouse coordinator with Customs and Export documents and ensuring accurate pricing and product data on our Business Central operating system and website. You will also be responsible to cover goods in, goods out and despatch when our Warehouse coordinator is away.This is a role full of variety and where you will have the opportunity to utilise your excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. After all, we drive excellence in all that we do.Your responsibilities as an Engineering Administrator will include but will not be limited to the following:Acknowledging repair receipt of goods to customer and updating themFollow up calls for outstanding repairsReply to external and internal emails requesting for repair updatesReviewing and updating Repair reports to distribute to the team weeklyDaily communication with Engineers’ and updating Engineering Calendar and Business Central system of site visitsProducing quotes /documents as requested by principal Engineer and ensuring all visits have been invoicedUpdating the system with notes from Engineers’ respective visitsPreparing and submitting any RAMS or other information required prior to site visitsManaging paperwork / creating the customer/project folders the admin and approvals for the engineering team (NDAs, passport copies etc for site visits)Project work – liaising with Engineers to track stage progress and paymentsLiaise with Accounts to vet & set up new suppliers and gathering the required documentationInforming the team of supplier price updates and liaise with Accounts/Warehouse team to ensure all required stock order is placed ahead of increasesLiaising with our BC specialist to manage supplier price updates on our Business Central system and websiteStock:Assisting Warehouse team to ensure website and Business Central reflect accurate availability of an item and ‘holding’ stock accordingly and in line with projects.Working with the Warehouse for adding refurbished stock to the website and Business CentralWarehouse & Despatch:Managing goods in, goods out & despatch to cover warehouse holidaysWarranties:Managing and administering the warranties process – log what items get returned under warranty so we can get a picture of which products have which issuesAbout youMinimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar roleExcellent organisational skills and strong attention to detailEager to learn and pick up complex technical knowledge quicklyMust demonstrate initiative to work both individually and part of a teamAbility to respond to changing prioritiesWork well under pressureDo what you love, love what you doCore values of positivity, results driven, accountable and driving excellenceSkills & QualificationsSoftware experience in Business Central would be advantageous but not essentialBenefits of working with usPension SchemeEmployed StatusFull time 38.75 Hours per week, 5 days per week, Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5.15pm and 4pm finish on Friday with 45 mins for lunch.Onsite parkingAbout usAt SDS, we live by our values and seek out to reward people for putting the customer first and driving excellence in all that they do.
