Engineer

The Role

To carry out ongoing preventative and emergency maintenance work throughout the site in conjunction with the requirements of the Company.

Duties:

• Daily visual equipment check for production line machinery


• Carry out regular and ongoing electrical maintenance


• Generally assist operations and office staff with requests for maintenance repairs;


• Carry out tasks on maintenance repair list in priority order;


• Complete works as detailed in Managers maintenance request sheets;


• Attending and resolving emergency breakdowns as they occur, working to get equipment serviceable in a timely manner;


• Installation and commissioning of equipment


• Assist with carrying out general building maintenance

The Person

• Electrical experience


• Manufacturing background


• Good practical skills and a common-sense approach.


• The ability to work under extreme pressure if, for example, an entire production line is shut down


• The tact, diplomacy and sense of humour required to deal with people in stressful situations and provide confident assurance


• Self-confidence and ability to work independently or as a member of a team
