Owen Payne Recruitment are seeking an experienced Farm Engineer to join a leading agricultural client located the Telford area.
Due to the nature of this role, previous experience as a Farm Engineer is essential.
This exciting position will be a permanent role from day 1.
Main Duties of a Farm Engineer:
- Carry out routine servicing of all vehicles
- Replace essential fluids and lubricants
- Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
- Complete end of season overhaul and repairs on a wide range of agricultural machinery
- Ensure all machines and vehicles are in good working condition
- Transfer equipment to alternative vehicles as necessary
- Replacing parts and assist in building new machines, within the workshop environment.
- Diagnose faults on machines using hydraulic or pneumatic systems and low voltage electronics
- Ensure faults and repairs are carried out effectively and in a timely fashion
- Carry out field-based repairs as and when required
- Deal with emergency breakdown repairs
Candidate Requirements - Essential:
- Experience and knowledge of agricultural machine maintenance
- Experienced with Pneumatics and Hydraulics
- Strong ability for diagnostics and repairs
Candidate Requirements - Desirable:
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (Level 3)
- Electronics and Welding (TIG/MIG) Skills
- Telescopic JCB driver
- Safe use of Oxy fuels
- Abrasive Wheels
- MS Office skills

Salary:
£38,000.00-£40,000.00 pa (DOE)
