Engineer Surveyor - Cambridge - £40,500-£50,000 - 10% Pension - £5,500 Car allowance
My client is a specialist test and inspection business who for over 100 years have inspected, tested and reported on industrial machinery from passenger lifts and escalators, to MEWPs, forklift trucks and cranes in order to keep the UK industry, businesses and public safe. They are currently recruiting an Engineer Surveyor in the Cambridge area.
To be considered for this role you will live within a 40 minute drive to Cambridge this helps the Award Winning planning team, do what they do best.
The role?
As an Engineer Surveyor in the Machinery discipline, you will be helping to make industry a safer place.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Completing quality assessments and rigorous inspections of pressure equipment
Carrying out detailed reporting, with no compromise, ever
Ensuring all customers are compliant with vital regulations that help to govern their industry in the UK (including LOLER and PUWER)
Helping to prolong the life of equipment by spotting any potential defects as early as possible
Always providing an exceptional level of customer service, whilst representing our brilliant company professionally

What you can expect as an Engineer Surveyor:
A starting salary of £40,500 rising to £45,423 after 1 year and then £50,347 after 2 years service*
Up to 10% pension contribution

You will need:
A Level 4 engineering qualification and a good level of practical experience
Practical experience working with various types of machinery equipment ( cranes, forklifts, MEWPS, elevators, lifting equipment )
The ability to communicate complex and technical problems with ease
A good level of IT and literacy skills in order to complete detailed customer reports
