New Guard Coatings are actively recruiting for a new team member to join our Glasgow branch as an
Engine Room Operator.
Were a specialist of industrial coatings for metal & steel, concrete, building maintenance and wood. We provide paint solutions to suit our customers individual needs. We have great success in welcoming new individuals into the paint industry and therefor applicants DO NOT need knowledge of the paint industry to be considered for this role. The successful individual will be encouraged to grow within their role, the business and the industry. This role includes operating tinting machine, driving company vehicle, manual warehouse duties and customer service responsibilities.

Responsibilities and duties of Engine Room Operator :
Operate tinting machine (colour matching/mixing paints to customer requirements)
Drive company vehicle, make customer deliveries
Pick and package orders ready for delivery
Speak with customers face to face, providing a high level of customer service at all times
Represent the company, adhering to the companys core values
Be communicative and professional, maintaining positive customer interactions
Respond to customer enquiries over the phone/face to face
Assist in receiving and processing customer orders accurately
Manage stock control
Work towards scheduled deliveries and order deadlines
Requirements for the
Engine Room Operator :
Must have a valid UK drivers license
Must have manual capabilities
Have excellent communicative skills
Ability to deliver a high level of customer service
Confident ability to read and write
Be a self-motivated individual
Able to work well within a team
Focused and efficient
Reliable and honest
Must be able to see colour clearly (essential for this role)
Working Hours are :
35 hours per week
4.5 hour OT available
1 hour unpaid breaks
Shift times and annual salary for Engine Room Operator :
Monday Thursday 8am 4pm, Friday 8am 4:30pm/5pm
£12.25 per hour / £22,295 annual salary (without OT)
