Our client is seeking an Engagement and Employability Coach to join their team in East Kent. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people and adults by providing tailored support and guidance to help them achieve their educational and employment goals.
Role Overview:
As an Engagement and Employability Coach, you will use your creativity and mentoring skills to provide support to individuals in various community settings. Your role will involve preparing individuals for the workforce or further education through one-on-one sessions or group activities. You will foster personal, social, and employability skills, equipping beneficiaries with the tools they need to move into education, training, an apprenticeship, or sustained employment. Additionally, you will collaborate with partner organisations to ensure seamless referrals and continued progress for our beneficiaries post-programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver personalised mentoring, advice, and guidance to unemployed young people and adults.
Conduct engaging unaccredited/accredited training sessions and workshops in both face-to-face and online formats.
Employ a person-centred approach, adapting strategies to suit individual or group dynamics.
Identify additional support needs and work with appropriate providers to ensure availability.
Support work placements and other community opportunities, confident in detached and outreach settings.
Advocate for young people and adults, addressing barriers to progression with sensitivity and confidentiality.
Essential/Desirable Criteria:
Experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating programmes for young people or adults.
Experience in delivering programmes with embedded numeracy/literacy.
Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and needs.
Understanding of the factors affecting young people and adults' lives and supporting them to overcome barriers.
