Portfolio Executive - Energy Transitions / Infrastructure Asset Management
Salary - £45k - £60k + Bonus and Benefits
The Portfolio Executive, based in our London office, plays a key role within the Energy Transition team. This position, reporting directly to the Portfolio Manager, is integral in managing and optimizing a diverse array of energy technologies, including Gas Peakers, Large Scale BESS, and Reactors. The role involves close coordination with Technical Asset Managers (TAMs), overseeing Long Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and contributing to the strategic management of the portfolio. The candidate should possess a proactive attitude, deep technical knowledge in the energy sector, and strong interpersonal skills.
The Role
Collaborate with Technical Asset Managers (TAMs) to ensure optimal performance and maintenance of the portfolio's technologies.
Oversee Long Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Participate in technical due diligence for new asset acquisitions within the Energy Transition portfolio and assist with the onboarding process.
Engage in reinvestment planning and prioritization in alignment with the strategic goals of the portfolio.
Manage contracts, including operational and maintenance agreements, monitoring both financial and non-financial KPIs.
Oversee refurbishment projects and uphold procurement governance standards.
Conduct site visits, manage stakeholder relationships, and maintain effective communication across the portfolio.
Provide support and advice to the wider team, aiding in the achievement of the Energy Transition portfolio’s objectives.
Monitor and report on the performance of the technologies, suggesting improvements and optimization strategies.
Oversee all National Grid Compliance and the Capacity Market agreements of all assets
Skills / Requirements
Experience in a technical role within the energy sector, preferably with familiarity in managing Gas Peakers, BESS, and Reactors.
Proactive and enthusiastic, with a broad understanding of the power value chain, including the roles of TAMs and OEMs.
Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, target-oriented, with effective negotiation skills.
Excellent attention to detail, able to balance overarching strategies with specific operational details.
