Energy Optimisation Manager
Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Energy Optimisation Manager to join our client on a Permanent basis.
The Role:
* Lead and manage the energy department, to provide technical advice and support concerning the efficient use of energy.
* Identify cost-effective opportunities for reducing energy consumption.
* Plan and develop internal audit procedures and schedules to ensure they are to the required standards.
* Develop and maintain metering and monitoring systems to enable suitable levels of energy data to be collected to satisfy all verification, audit and reporting requirements.
* Manage the requirements of ESOS and SECR.
* Provide technical guidance and review technical output of team members ensuring that work is carried out to the required standards.
* Coach and develop team members and recommend appropriate further training and development.
* Develop energy expertise across the business, to optimise the effectiveness of staff resource, by contributing to training courses on lighting, pumping etc.
* Coach works staff in energy matters as required.
* Support the businesses units in an advisory/consultancy capacity in the fields of process energy efficiency and CO2 reduction. (CN30)
* Contribute to a rolling programme of sharing and learning meetings to maximise the dissemination of best practice energy and CO2 reduction.
* Liaise with procurement and Energy suppliers to secure suitable Energy Supply contracts.
* Liaise with regulatory authorities in order to interpret legislative requirements.
* Develop effective policy and strategy to ensure adequate resource and competence is in place to maintain and develop United Kingdom Emission Trading Scheme (UKETS).
Requirements:
* Qualification to a minimum 2:1 degree level in a Electrical Engineering or a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
* Five years + experience in energy and process emission related activities.
* An understanding of associated practical operational and engineering constraints is essential.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.
Salary: Circa £45k
