An opportunity to join a leading Global business who have been undergoing an exciting transformation project as an Energy Engineer to be based in their Glasgow site but with travel to other sites across Scotland. The main purpose of this position is to be responsible for the energy and utilities efficiencies and to drive Continuous Improvement and cost reduction projects across sites.�



Main areas of responsibility include:



1. Utilities & Infrastructure - You will actively risk manage the procurement of commodity traded utilities and be able to take advantage of favourable market conditions. You will also manage eternal infrastructure improvements and upgrades. You will be responsible for negotiations on utilities contract (working in conjunction with other departments across the business) and will manage costs and compliance in your key areas.�



2. Data & Reporting - You will be responsible for establishing robust MI for reporting and be able to analyse data to discuss trends. You will be responsible for managing the data, billing and consumption reports for all company locations.�



3. Legal & Compliance - You will be responsible for ensuring companies Legal responsibilities are concluded and have full rights and responsibilities to operate the full�Carbon accounts and purchase UKA allowances to achieve compliance. You will complete energy reduction audits and devise and run a site surveying programme to monitor compliance and best practise. You will also be responsible to managing the climate change levy tax relief documentation and develop the policy and strategy documentation.�



4. Business Improvements - to identify areas for improvements (reduction in waste/consumption reduction) in depth studies with potential solutions.�



Wow what a mix and some great variety across a number of different sites using different technologies. You will need to be a collaborator who can works across multiple sites, teams and departments. You will ideally come from a scientific background and have an in depth knowledge of the utilities markets. You will be someone passionate about driving improvements and efficiencies and have a knowledge and understanding of UK energy and carbon related legislation. You should be able to manage cost base, budgets and be able to collate and manage data and you will need a UK drivers license and be flexible to travel.�
