This is an exciting time to join our Bureau and Recharging team to help us achieve our mission to deliver innovative solutions that help businesses make the two degrees of change.We’re looking for a proactiveEnergy and Carbon Analystto join our national full-service energy solutions teams at either ourBristol or Blackpool office, where we can work together to Optimise the world’s transition to net zero and beyond.We’re looking for people with a willingness to learn, an eye for numbers and a passion for getting the best possible results for our clients., which in turn supports our business in achieving its goals.About the roleAs Energy and Carbon Analyst within Optimised, you will be part of the Bureau and Recharging team, responsible for high level customer service; through accurate utility invoice validation, energy query management, creating recharges and processing change of tenancies, as well as creating various detailed reports for our clients.Your role will be to proactively manage the day-to-day billing processes. This will require a good level of detail, accuracy and timely processes; working closely with internal and external stakeholders to pro-actively look for problems, efficiencies and ways to save money.What you’ll actually doProvide an excellent client experience to internal and external stakeholdersHandling queries via all typical channels in line with internal KPI’sCompleting invoice checking and tariff-based validation on all components of electricity & gas invoicesMaintaining database(s) with accurate data in a timely mannerGenerating batches of invoices, analysing the costs against previous periods, and looking for and reviewing anomaliesRaising queries and resolving errors with suppliers when invoices are incorrect to resolve ASAPProducing weekly batch files for clients to process paymentsProcessing and following up on change of tenancies.Creating and delivering monthly/scheduled recharge invoices to tenantsCalculating targets and budgets and reviewing on-accounts where requiredProducing portfolio-wide reports and issuing to clients accordinglyAssisting with and managing new connections and disconnections.Driving continual improvement in our billing systems and processesEnsuring that core processes are documented and that efficiencies are identified and implementedAttending client meetings with Account ManagersBuild knowledge of the energy industry and develop an understanding of queries and resolutionDeveloping a personal training plan to achieve professional qualification(s) and work towards a Certificate in Energy Management with the Energy InstituteWhat you’ll needAn underlying interest in energy industryUnderstanding of all components of an electricity & gas billAnalytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detailExcellent communication skills – having the ability to communicate complex utility issues with suppliers, clients and internal stakeholdersWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel – be confident to manipulate data, formatting data, creating and reviewing formulasFamiliar with systems and billing.Customer Service Experience - strong investigation skills and the ability to follow queries through from the start to the end.About youYou will be highly numerate and work with accuracyInterpersonal skills to allow communication and understanding within both the team and our clients/suppliers.Proactive attitude that brings drive, energy and passion to the roleFlexible, positive and committed team member, who works to high standardsPromotes a culture of inclusivitySelf-motivated and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy or part of a teamPassionate about social or environmental issues with a mission-driven mindse?About usOptimised deliver quantifiable business outcomes to commercial businesses through a comprehensive suite of energy, renewables and sustainability services and technologies while driving a net zero carbon agenda.With a combined team of highly trained professionals, Optimised operates from four office locations including Ashby, Blackpool, Bristol and Sittingbourne; providing national coverage.
