Our client, aglobal Investment & Trading company based in the City of London arelooking to recruit an Energy Analyst to be part of their expandingEnergy Solutions Department. You’ll be focusing on the performance ofenergy assets or portfolios, assessing the operational activity of theassets within relevant markets and offering advice about comparativeopportunities to invest in such assetsMainresponsibilities will include;SupportDepartment General Manager (DGM) and other Members of Energy SolutionsDepartment to develop new business including gathering information,investment sourcing and deal making (setting marketing and strategy,meeting & negotiating with advisor/seller/partner) and deal executionLiaise and support more general business development asrequiredPreparation of internal application materialsincluding business plan so that management can make a suitabledecision on strategy and investmentContribute to themonitoring and performance assessment of ‘live’ investmentsSupport strategic exit of investments as required.To be considered for this position, idealcandidates must have the following experience, skills andqualifications;Undergraduate universityeducation or higher (technical discipline associated with energymanagement or sustainability preferably engineering or mathematics)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and teamplayerExcellent understanding of retail and/or tradingfunctions within UK Energy sectorGood understanding of UKenergy marketsInteraction with market systems or specifictrading/pricing tools (preferred)Eager to tackle challenges,self-driven and self-confidentHappy to travel when required,mainly in Europe though occasionally further afieldEnthusiastic and eager to learn with an analytical skillset
