Are you looking for a varied role managing multiple empty home refurbishments across the stunning landscape of North Yorkshire? Where no two days are the same, we are looking for an experienced housing repair/maintenance site manager to join our Empty Homes Team

The Role

The dedicated Empty Homes team take real pride in refurbishing our properties to welcoming homes prior to a new customer moving in, and as site manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all on-site activities.

Within this varied role you will supervise a multi-skilled workforce carrying a range of tasks from a light clean to a full home refurbishment and you will oversee the day-to-day running of multiple refurbishment projects.

You will be responsible for the whole site works including health & safety, management of sub-contractors and ensuring the team delivers a timely, high-quality home.  This challenging role would suit a highly organised individual with a ‘hands-on' approach who can thrive under pressure, prioritise effectively and meet targets without compromising on quality or safety standards.

With homes stretched across the North Yorkshire, from the picturesque village of Great Ayton to Hawes nestled in the Yorkshire Dales, this role others flexibility with time split between site, office and home working.

What do you need to have?

Extensive experience working in the housing repair or maintenance sector.

Experience managing a multi skilled work force, across a number of projects at any one time.

Experience in managing sub contractors and associated contract management.

Develop scope of works as part of procurement of services through 3rd party suppliers and successfully deliver projects on time and budget.

The ability to diagnose maintenance problems and identify solutions through knowledge of construction methods whilst demonstrating a value for money repairs service.

A commitment to ensuring that high Health and Safety standards are maintained through knowledge of relevant statutory duty and industry best practice.

Experience in supporting and mentoring trades teams to deliver an excellent service to our stakeholders.

Completed a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent and/or minimum of NVQ Level 3 or its equivalent with significant demonstratable experience within a similar role.

Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential with the success candidate given a van/car for business use and commuting.
