We have an exciting new opportunity for Emergency Response Team Leader to join our team at Pickmere Extra Care Scheme, in Crewe. This is a full time post, working 35 hours a week, Monday - Friday.
You will be responsible for proving effective leadership and line management to the Emergency Response team, ensuring that all emergency pendant calls are responded to in a safe and timely manner and are recorded properly. You will be monitoring the health and wellbeing of the customers and supporting them to use the warden call system effectively, as well as supporting the Extra Care Scheme Manager with tenancy related tasks. Ultimately you will be ensuring the delivery of high quality, responsive and person-centred services that meet physical, mental, and emotional customer needs and ensure people have choice and control over their lives.
What we're looking for
Experience of providing a sensitive and supportive service to vulnerable people maintaining their dignity and self-respect
Experience of leading, motivating and managing staff
Experience of managing a service providing care to the elderly (customer care) and of the promotion and improvement of service delivery working closely and in consultation with residents
Understanding of current issues in the provision of social housing and care for the elderly and the ageing process, demonstrating empathy with elderly people.
Experience of dealing effectively with harassment and nuisance
Ability to work on own initiative and make decisions, but within existing systems and policies
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
IT literate and able to use digital technology
Essential Qualifications - QCF/NVQ Level 2 in social housing or social care
Desirable Qualifications - QCF/NVQ Level 3 in in social housing or social care.
