Greenbrook and Vocare, work at the interface between primary and emergency care to ensure that patients are treated in the right place, at the right time and in the most effective and efficient way both for their needs and as a part of the wider Urgent and Emergency Care system. We work in partnership with our local Emergency Departments to enable them to focus on major injuries and illnesses whilst we look after minor injuries and primary care appropriate cases.Our Urgent Care Division in London delivers high quality successful services within 11 Urgent Treatment Centres, GP Out of Hours, Virtual Wards, Clinical Assessment Services supporting 111 and care for asylum seekers. You’ll join our growing team at an exciting time!About the Role…We are looking for Emergency Medicine Doctors with experience in managing acute illness in adult and paediatric patients to join us on a permanent, salaried basis covering nights (full-time or part-time positions available).We will consider applications from Doctors working in Urgent and Emergency Care situations including Emergency Medicine staff grade doctors, Emergency Medicine Registrars and General Practitioners that have completed their training but do not have GP registration with the General Medical council. All Emergency Medical Doctors must have a GMC license to practice in the United Kingdom and be annually appraised and revalidated.Working in Urgent Primary Care can be very rewarding, providing care to patients when they are most in need. As a key member of Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), you will be responsible for providing face to face care for patients that access the service, when the UTC is open. You will take responsibility to ensure that all patients are dealt with appropriately and efficiently, whilst maintaining a high-quality service. You will work alongside clinical and operational colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care for all presenting patients.Your Day to Day…Accurately triage & prioritise patients to elicit the history of an event / illness including past medical and drug history.Evaluate clinical information from history and examination and initiate appropriate treatment, referral or discharge.Refer patients to appropriate care settings, where necessary.To work as part of a multidisciplinary team in order to support and help provide a comprehensive Urgent Care service.To take clinical responsibility and provide assistance and supervision to other health professionals, particularly Nurse Practitioners, as required.Follows the organisation’s safer prescribing policy, regarding controlled drugs and prescription security.Fully qualified Doctor with full GMC registrationAt least 1 year post reg experience in an NHS urgent care/ emergency medicine settingProof of appraisal/ revalidation (where appropriate)36 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) - pro rata for part time staffOpportunities for career developmentOngoing support for revalidation and CPD activityRegular optional educational sessionsAccess to NHS Pension if eligibleShare save schemeOpportunities for career developmentEmployee assistance programFor a full job description or further information on the roles available, please ##### UTC - King's College Hospital, Denmark Hill, London, United Kingdom, United Kingdom
