Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer required for a multi-award-winning manufacturing company that development and manufacture products for the medical and commercial industries. Based in Petersfield you will be joining a friendly and dynamic research and development team. The role is a hands-on design position within a multidisciplinary team developing embedded software and systems.

Embedded Software Engineer Position Overview

• Produce, program and test C and Assembler code for STM32, ATMega and PIC Microcontrollers;
• Carry out release tests for new firmware and associated hardware;
• Debug and troubleshoot firmware and circuit issues;
• Generating the software architecture and communication protocols for microcontrollers and associated hardware;
• Write technical documentation and compile technical files;
• Follow defined development processes;
• Integration design with other products;
• Maintain an appropriate working knowledge of medical standards including but not limited to IEC (phone number removed); ISO 14971; IEC 62366; ISO 62304; ISO 13485 & FDA guidelines CFR 21;

Embedded Software Engineer Position Requirements

• Degree in Electronics/Computer Science or other relevant discipline
• Proficient in C with at least two years industry experience
• Experience with Microcontroller software and circuit design
• Experience of unit testing and writing well-structured code
• Analog and digital Electronics design;
• Schematic and PCB Design using CADStar;

Embedded Software Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary- Circa �40,000
• 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
