3 days remote & 2 days per week on site in Glasgow

One of our customers in Glasgow are currently looking for an Embedded C Software Engineer to develop embedded software and application software for medical devices/technology.

The customer produce medical solutions, equipment and health care services to health care companies globally and they are looking to add a developer to one of their establish and experienced technical teams.

The role will require you to define requirements, identify risks, design and implement software that runs on or supports current and future releases.

The business are very focused on quality when it comes to software releases so experience being involved in unit testing would be useful. In the last 4 years they have had 17 major software releases and only had 1 bug in all 17 releases.

Key skills:

• At least 2 years of embedded software engineering experience.

• Proficient in embedded C development.

• Experience creating software requirements from product requirements.

• Experience with unit testing frameworks, e.g. Unity, Ceedling, CMock

• Experience with 16/32-bit Microcontrollers, RTOSs, multi-threaded and multi-processor systems, communication protocols (SPI, I2C, TCP/IP)

• Experience working in formal Agile scrum development process

Highly Desirable skills/experience:

• Experience of developing software for medical devices under IEC 62304.

• Experience in GUI development and GUI frameworks

• Data processing, analysis and internal tool development, e.g. Python, C#, R
