They live and breathe Financial Services marketing so we’d want you to share their enthusiasm for it too, ideally, with some experience of Financial Services. If you don’t have that, we’d certainly expect you to have experience of working within a medium to large corporate business and understand the governance, logistics, management and people skills this requires.
As this is a hybrid WFH role (we’ll expect you in the office two days a week), you’ll need great connectivity at home to use the laptop we’ll supply you. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE This is a busy and varied role with lots going on.
Key responsibilities will include:
Manage and deliver the daily strategic and tactical operations of the email channel including understanding the end to end campaign management process within Salesforce Marketing Cloud while conforming to best practices and providing Quality Assurance
Influence stakeholders using technical email expertise to ensure best practice is applied across Salesforce account set up; template module creation and execution success in terms of build, design, layout and optimisation
Work with agency partners and internal brand teams on email template design, ensuring imagery is on-brand and fit for purpose for use in email journeys
Monitor email trends in the wider market with a view to sharing any insight or lessons with the team
Be responsible for briefing Targeting Team on data requirements and securing Demand & Planning resource to deliver data on time
Schedule and manage all emails through Air Traffic Control process ensuring on time delivery
Apply excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills using dashboards and reporting tools to measure engagement and commercial KPIs against internal and external benchmarks and to provide detailed analysis and insight on ‘Always On’ and campaign activity to inform and continuously improve future email communications
Take ownership of defining, reviewing and updating the control processes behind the design, build and send of marketing emails for the Wealth Management and Digital Investing businesses. This includes training Marketing Managers on Segregation of Duty Controls and to continuously identify and deliver on necessary improvements to ensure flawless execution of email communications
Deliver a test & learn plan (email subject line testing, content testing, etc) to drive business outcomes
Create and manage third party prospecting databases including sign-up forms and registration emails
Build strategic working relationships across a number of teams including Marketing Centre of Excellence, Group Brand, BX Demand & Planning, Virtual Channels, Digital Production, Data Privacy and Compliance.
Ensure a robust email resilience communication plan is in place, regularly reviewed and tested.
Stakeholder Management and Leadership:
Manage email demand from key stakeholders across the Wealth Management, Smart Investor and Plan & Invest business
Support relationships with key stakeholders across the business to ensure their needs are understood and met, to help achieve their business goals
Manage relevant relationships with Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance and Data Privacy
Keep stakeholders informed on all key milestones and raise any issues in a timely and rational manner, providing clear recommendations
Use effective and confident stakeholder management to challenge ideas and decisions, in order to ensure that business objectives are met and aligned to marketing strategy
Decision-making and Problem Solving:
Desire to seek out and embrace new ways of working to aid acquisition, trading and the retention of customers
Strong analytical skills with ability to build data driven insights
Experience in a customer driven organisation with a customer first mindset
Risk and Control Objective:
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards. WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
Technical and specialised understanding of email marketing
Experience with email platforms, design tools and languages (Salesforce, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, SharePoint, HTML/CSS Coding)
Effective communication skills - the ability to listen, interpret and articulate complex information relating to the application of Brand guidelines, email optimisation and performance in order to influence and guide senior leaders, colleagues and external agencies
Experience in Financial Services industry
Digital marketing experience
Knowledge of email best practices, technologies and engagement trends
Time management skills – must be able to manage workload independently in order to hit all deadlines and appropriately communicate any risks.
Project management - Strong organizational skills, maintain accurate project records, complying with all control and regulatory requirements.
