Electronics Technician

Purpose of the role:
As an Electronics Development Technician, you will be working alongside the lead hardware engineer and will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of electronic systems and components. You'll collaborate with other members within the technical team and liaise with the manufacturing department with a view of delivering innovative electronic products.

Prototyping and Testing
Assemble and test electronic prototypes based on design specifications. Troubleshoot and debug circuitry and rectify issues during prototyping.
Conduct functional and performance tests to validate new designs.
Conduct EMC tests on final products using EMC test equipment and booking testing at external EMC test facilities to validate in-house results.
Participate in design reviews and provide valuable feedback.
Component Sourcing and Evaluation
Source electronic components when obsolete or when developing a new product.
Evaluate components for quality, compatibility, and cost-effectiveness.
PCB Design and Layout
Maintain component libraries.Design of new component decals and schematic symbols
