Job description



We have an opening for our client situated in Oldham who are currently looking for candidates with a track record in electronic repairing/Assembling/Testing & Fault Finding. The clients product portfolio ranges across a broad range of home and and domestic electrical items (SDA).



Overall Job Function



To test and repair a range of consumer and/or IT related products to the required standard. If a unit fails the initial test and inspection then as an engineer you would be able to have the skills to identify and fix any issues ensuring that only fully functional products would be available for purchase.



Examples of Products:




  • TV’s

  • Coffee Machines

  • Hoovers

  • Air Fryers

  • Small Kitchen Appliances



Responsibilities:




  • Be responsible for the test and repair to component level of several product types.

  • Specifically, but not exclusively, Small Domestic Appliances and Garden & Home product.

  • Achieve the set targets in all areas of work e.g. turnaround, productivity KPI's and customer expectations

  • Be capable of working to local work instructions

  • Update the repair tracking system and manufacturer sites with information on repairs as required

  • Be capable of training a “Junior” Engineer

  • Be familiar with and working to Quality standards as per ISO 9001

  • Be aware of and work to all health and safety procedures and highlight any issues

  • Be capable of acting on instructions from Process Leader



Position requirements:




  • Qualifications in Electronics or minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance workshop

  • Ideal, dependent on grade, repairing to board and component level

  • Have a responsible attitude towards the quality of their work, eliminating the need for any form of quality inspection

  • Ability to lift heavy items

  • To be able to work without constant supervision

  • To be mature, self-motivated, innovative and analytical



Hours




  • Monday - Friday

  • 7:30am - 4:30pm

  • 42.5 hours per week



Pay Rate




  • £25,945 - £28,818/£11.74ph - £13.04ph
