The successful Electronics Engineer will primarily be responsible for developing and maintaining firmware for electronic locking and access control products. Additionally, you will utilise your PCB design abilities to contribute to the hardware development process.

The role will involve:

  • Develop and maintain firmware for electronic locking and access control products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define firmware requirements and specifications.
  • Design, implement, and test embedded C code for microcontroller-based systems.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug firmware issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Utilise version control systems to manage firmware codebase.
  • Design PCB layouts for electronic circuits, considering factors such as component placement, signal integrity, and manufacturability.
  • Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with PCB designs and ensure compatibility.

To be successful in this role of Electronics Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in embedded systems development using C/C++ programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures and peripherals.
  • Proficiency in PCB design software.
  • Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout techniques.
