The Role:
As our client continue to grow their engineering team, they are now looking for an Electronics Test Engineer to join them. The successful Test Engineer can expect to work in their Coventry based offices and will be able to illustrate 2/3 years industry experience in a similar role testing electronic devices.
Our client develops and builds a range of leading safety products that are manufactured to high volumes and sold throughout Europe. In this role you will play a key role, making sure all designs are fit for purpose before and ready before they go to production.
Skills and Experience Required:
Electronic device testing
Electronics lab equipment – oscilloscopes, soldering, signal generators etc
Reading schematics and PCB designs
PCB and firmware troubleshooting
This role will best suit a motivated Electronics Test Engineer who is looking for challenging and varied work with the chance to learn and develop new skills within electronics. You will be working in a growing engineering team and should expect to work closely with the test team, electronics engineers, product managers and application engineers focusing on product quality and reliability.
You can expect the role to involve:
Undertaking validation of new products to the agreed specifications.
Contributing to the validation of existing designs in-line with production and certification requirements.
Generating Failure reports and liaising with other engineering disciplines in the evaluation of failures.
Undertaking testing and characterisation of existing and new components.
Compiling test results and generating test reports.
Diagnostics and fault finding on products, to component level.
Design and manufacture of test fixtures or equipment to support validation, test and development.
Creation and implementation of test process and procedures to support validation activities.
