Electronic/Electrical Systems Design Engineer – circa £75,000 + Car/Fuel Allows. + Bonus + Ex. Benefits
Primary Purpose:
As a System Design Engineer you will define the architecture and specifications for next-generation products, ensuring they meet performance requirements, reliability standards, and safety regulations. This involves collaborating with various teams, identifying suitable technologies, and partitioning functions between hardware and software implementations to achieve optimal system performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Define top-level System functionality to meet operational, environmental, and safety requirements.
Generate design budgets/specifications and allocate them between functional blocks down to the sub-blocks.
Flow-down system requirements to subsystem requirement specifications.
Liaise with subsystem teams in design proposals, considering existing design constraints.
Identify methods and prospective technologies required to meet feature lists and define blocks for research and development.
Partition functions between hardware and software implementation, assessing the impact of architecture choices on reliability, safety, maintainability, cost, and size.
Prepare requirement specifications for various sub-blocks as input to hardware and software design engineers, structured with verifiable requirements for validation engineers.
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/System Engineering or relevant discipline.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in System Design and/or electronics design architecture/lead role.
Experience in end-to-end electronics, mechanical, and Embedded SW based product development.
Experience in HV Power supply design (up to 30kW), preferred.
Experience in writing system design technical specifications and system & subsystem requirements definition.
Proficiency in hardware systems, especially electronics, with high organisational, communication, and technical specification writing skills.
